Rep. Scott Rigell, an intellectually honest Republican

We cannot have an intellectually honest conversation about closing the deficit without considering tax increases to go along with serious spending cuts.

Representative Scott Rigell (R-VA), is part of a handful of courageous Republicans who are bucking the hard-right, anti-tax takeover and putting themselves on the line by engaging in serious, adult discussions instead of breaking china and mindlessly spewing talking points in order to uphold an ideology, destroy opponents, and consolidate power.

Congress needs more thoughtful, open-minded legislators like Scott Rigell on both sides of the aisle.
