This is offensively stupid. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case as we have seen. This is no longer the Party of Lincoln, Reagan, or even George W. Bush, who did more than any other U.S. President to combat AIDS. I’m embarrassed to be a Republican.
Tennessee state Sen. Stacey Campfield (R) falsely claimed on Thursday that it was nearly impossible for someone to contract AIDS through heterosexual contact.
“Most people realize that AIDS came from the homosexual community,” he told Michelangelo Signorile, who hosts a radio program on SiriusXM OutQ. “It was one guy screwing a monkey, if I recall correctly, and then having sex with men. It was an airline pilot, if I recall.”
“My understanding is that it is virtually — not completely, but virtually — impossible to contract AIDS through heterosexual sex.”

I understand the rightful indignation against the lawmakers stupid comments. However, as a fellow Republican, I’m even more perturb that every time an arbitrary Republican makes a lewd and ridiculous comment or even party leadership making an act as a whole, all Republicans are lumped together.
Certain peoples and especially those of certain political ideology, are almost always completely separated from representatives of their respective faction when one may make ridiculous comments or commit uncouth actions. Never so for Republicans.
We as a people need to call out stupidity when appropriate for that particular person or sometimes even faction, yet never as a whole.
