Over the past two weeks, President Barack Obama opened up a sustained lead over Mitt Romney according to the Gallup Poll. What is interesting is that in 2004, George Bush opened up a lead over John Kerry at around the same time during the campaign season and went on to win reelection. Could 2012 be for the Democrats what 2004 was for the Republicans?
